Summary

We do not sell personal data.
We do not use advertising trackers in Day-1 builds.
Phone and PC do not connect directly; traffic uses HTTPS to a relay / API.
You control the commands you send — treat inject text as confidential.
No Linespotting account is required for Day-1 pairing.

What the product does

Grok Build Remote lets a mobile device send commands to a desktop agent you install. Communication uses a durable HTTPS mailbox relay and/or Grok / xAI APIs as transport (“Grok is the relay”). Free agent binaries run on your computer. Mobile apps are paid products ($13.00 USD one-time) on Apple App Store and Google Play — not free apps.

Processors / third parties

Apple, Google, and Microsoft (distribution and payments); Cloudflare or equivalent (relay and website hosting); xAI / Grok when used as transport. They process data to provide the service, not for our advertising. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

Permissions (mobile)

Network is required for relay/API. Optional platform purchase APIs for unlock. We do not require continuous location, contacts, or photo library access for core features. Day-1 mobile builds do not require microphone access for the core inject path.

Children

Built for adult developers and power users. Not directed at children under 13 (or higher age where required).

Treat mailbox identifiers like device secrets

No method of transmission is 100% secure; use the product on devices you trust.

Your choices & deletion

Clear API key in app Settings.
Unpair / clear app storage or reinstall the app.
Uninstall the agent and delete ~/.gbr or %USERPROFILE%\.gbr.
Email [email protected] with subject GBR data deletion.

Purchase history is controlled by Apple/Google; use their support for refunds where applicable.

International transfers

Relay and API providers may process data in the EU, US, or other regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms provided by those vendors.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
